Thirty Seconds To Mars Release New Music Video With Links To Their Film Project
The video is for the band’s latest single “Walk On Water” and knowing about the band’s interest in visuals and cinematography through previous music videos and projects, it comes as no surprise that this video, too, is a very unique one.
A while back, Thirty Seconds To Mars announced their plan of a project called “A Day In The Life Of America”, in which they aimed to show footage from just a single day from as many Americans as possible. That is what they did in this video and it is just as intriguing as you would think.
In the video description on YouTube, they state:
“Over 10,000 generous and creative people submitted footage – in addition to our 92 professional crews. We filmed in all fifty states, Puerto Rico and D.C. and captured a portrait of this country that is absolutely beautiful, challenging and unforgettable.
A very small selection of that footage you see here. The rest will be part of the documentary film, A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AMERICA (directed by Jared Leto), that is a companion piece to our brand new album.”
