The “Halloween” Opening Weekend Breaks Box Office Records

The new “Halloween” movie released in theaters 3 days ago but it has already broken box office records.

The movie picks up fourty years after the original and even though it cost “only” $10 million to produce, it has already brought up and estimated $77,5 million in this weekend.

This is the second biggest October opening ever, but also the second biggest opening for a horror movie ever, only “IT” was bigger.

For director David Gordon Green and for star Jamie Lee Curtis, this was the biggest opening weekend and since next weekend is the weekend before Halloween, the gross is likely to continue to rise.
