Stranger Things’ Duffer Brothers Respond To Claim Of Them Ripping Off Show’s Plot
Earlier today we posted about Stranger Things’ Duffer brothers who were being sued by writer Charlie Kessler for ripping off the show’s plot and using his script, idea and story from his short film ‘Montauk’ to make the show.
Now, the producers have responded to the allegations.
They have released an official statement through their lawyer Alex Kohner, denying the claim.
The statement reads:
“Mr. Kessler’s claim is completely meritless. He had no connection to the creation or development of ‘Stranger Things.’ The Duffer Brothers have neither seen Mr. Kessler’s short film nor discussed any project with him. This is just an attempt to profit from other people’s creativity and hard work.”
