Stranger Things’ Duffer Brothers Accused For Ripping Off Plot

TMZ has reported that Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have been accused of ripping off the show’s concept.

Charlie Kessler has filed a lawsuit, claiming that the creators stole the plot of the show from his short film ‘Montauk’, which premiered in 2012 and involved “top secret government experiments which are similar to the ones in Stranger Things.

He also stated that he even pitched the idea to the Duffers in 2014 but they hadn’t contacted him to develop the idea.
He claimed that the show was initially sold to Netflix under the name ‘The Montauk Project’.

TMZ stated that Kessler is suing for money and the destruction of all materials that were ripped off from his concept.

The Stranger Things creators have not yet responded to these claims.
