​Spotify Is Being Sued For Gender Discrimination

The streaming giant Spotify is facing some legal difficulties, after a female sales executive at the company sued for gender discrimation earlier this week.

Variety reported that the lawsuit covers gender discrimination, equal pay violation and defamation. 

The sales executive Hong Perez is accusing Spotify of these things and went on the share examples, like company trips in which female employees were excluded, promotion of an executive while he was accused of sexually harassment and more.

A representative for the company has responded to Variety’s reporting, sharing:

“At Spotify, we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind at any level. While we cannot comment on the specific details of a pending litigation, these claims are without merit.”
