Riverdale To Air Another Classic Musical Episode
Last season, they did a musical episode of the classic “Carrie”.
This season’s episode, which will be airing in March, will be taking on another classic, “Heathers: The Musical”, based on the 1989 movie.
Executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa talked to Entertainment Weekly about the episode:
“Last year, we had a blast doing Carrie. This year, we wanted to honor another iconic teen movie. Heathers: The Musical is big fun, with great roles for the Riverdale kids.”
The CW Network shared a teaser photo, which shows Cheryl, Veronica & Betty all playing one of the Heathers, Josie playing Veronica Sawyer, Sweet Pea playing Jason “J.D.” Dean and Kevin being the director.
You can also see that the musical is being “Sponsored by The Farm”.. That can’t mean anything good.
The episode will air on March 20th.
