Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Bassist Will Star in ‘Boy Erased’

Apart from being in a hugely successful band (to date, they’re received a total of 19 awards and 65 nominations- including a total of 6 Grammy wins out of 16 nominations); their bassist Flea, is also prone to taking movie roles. The latest acting instalment? A coming out drama, ‘Boy Erased’ (written by Joel Edgerton). 

Based on the novel, ‘Boy Erased: A memoir of identity, faith and family’ by Garrard Conley, the movie centres on the son of a baptist who is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion programme. The most important thing to bear in mind however, is that though Flea’s role has been announced, there is still nothing certain about the details of the role. 

Prior to this, Flea’s taken to the big screen in this year’s release of ‘Baby Driver’.
