Netflix Cancels Marvel’s “The Punisher” & “Jessica Jones”
Earlier today, Netflix shared that Jessica Jones and The Punisher will both be cancelled. The third and last season of Jessica Jones will be released later this year, while The Punisher’s second season will be its last.
The cancellation of these two shows also marks the end of the partnership between the streaming giant and Marvel. Here’s what Netflix shared in a statement:
“We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership, and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning.”
These cancellations, as well as the previous ones have everything to do with Disney launching their streaming service, which will include Marvel content.
Unfortunately, it has not been revealed when Disney will be releasing their streaming service Disney+, or if it will immediately be available worldwide.
