The show is a benefit show, to help the victims of the recent wildfires that happened in Califorrnia. The show will take place on the 9th of November at the AT&T Park and the band won’t be coming alone. Metallica are going to be joined by Dave Matthews Band, G-Eazy and a couple more artists. All the proceedings from this show will go towards Tipping Point Community. This community has organized a relief fund for the victims of these horrific wildfires.
In a statement, Metallica share the following regarding this show:
“The community that we have called home for over 34 years suffered devastating wildfires that have destroyed homes and displaced over 100,000 of our neighbors in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake and other counties in the North Bay. We’re extremely saddened by the suffering that so many are feeling in the Bay Area, but are also inspired by the enormous outpouring of love and support from all around the country and want to jump in and help in the way we know how to—through music!”
