Lili Reinhart Shares Her Hopes And Expectations For New Riverdale Season

A new season of Riverdale is approaching and actress Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper on the show, has talked about this new season quite a bit.

Although she does not know anything about new plot developments or anything else to come, Reinhart shared some of her own hopes and expectations in regards to the show and her role in it.

In a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar, she stated:

“In the season finale, when you saw Betty and Jughead in bed together, she’s smiling when he says, ‘Will you be my serpent queen?’ […] When I watched that scene and I saw Betty smile, it made me want more of that. […] I think the girl deserves a break.”

Aside from Betty being happier in general, the actress would also like to see the show focus on her character’s friendship with Veronica, Cott and Kevin.

The third season of Riverdale premieres Wednesday, October 10 at 8pm on the CW.
