Islander Removed From Vans Warped Tour

Islander are off this year’s installment of Vans Warped Tour.

In a video they posted via their Twitter, they explained that they were asked to leave the tour after vocalist Mikey Carvajal damaged a drum kit on stage, which was borrowed and does not belong to the band

Carvajal explains:

“During the last song of our set, I dove into the drum kit. […] I didn’t even think about the fact that we were using a backline kit that didn’t belong to us.”

However, the band is staying positive and urging their fans to attend Warped Tour anyway:

“This is no reason for you guys not to go and support all the incredible bands.”
