Iron Maiden Are Getting Sued By Former Vocalist
Iron Maiden are being sued by their former vocalist Dennis Willcock.
According to Theprp.com, the lawsuit that bassist Steve Harris and guitarist Dave Murray are facing revolves around lyric credits (and lack thereof) as well as the resulting damages worth $2.6 million.
Barry McKay is the acting attorney on behalf of Dennis Willcock, who claims that in 1977, he wrote the lyrics to four Iron Maiden songs, but never received credit for it, and that the track “Prodigal Son” was actually the result of a collaboration between him and Steve Harris.
When Iron Maiden released their first album back in 1980, they had already had a new singer aboard, Paul Di’Anno.
