“Halloween” Breaks Longstanding Slasher Film Record
“Halloween” is setting a lot of records since it first hit theathers three weeks ago.
According to Loudwire, the movie has become the highest grossing slasher movie of all time, a record, which was previously held by Wes Craven’s “Scream”.
“In just under three weeks since its release, the film has raked in $173 million at the domestic box office and $229 worldwide, making it the highest-grossing slasher film of all-time. The previous top grossing slasher film was Wes Craven’s 1996 film “Scream”, which make $103 million domestically and $173 million globally.”
