Alan Rickman Named Greatest English Actor Of All Time
Ranker posted a poll on their site, which rated ‘Male actors from England, dead or alive’.
The website asked people to add their favourite actors to the list and after that others could vote for the top 100 (okay, actually 96).

At the top of the rank, now named the greatest English actor of all time, is Alan Rickman, who sadly died of cancer at the age of 69 at the beginning of 2016.
Rickman is known for his roles in the Harry Potter franchise, Die Hard, Sweeney Todd, Love Actually and many more.
Reasonable close second is Ian McKellen, Lord of the Rings star and below him Gary Oldman, best known for his role in the Batman trilogy.
