A New ‘Nightmare On Elm Street Movie’ With Original Freddy Krueger Could Happen

A new movie in the ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ franchise could happen, according to Robert Englund. The actor played the original Freddy Krueger for the franchise and recently shared that he could do the character again.

In the last couple of years, Englund has always said he’s done playing the character, so that’s quite hopeful.

In a new interview, Englund said the following:

“I think they want to reboot the franchise, but they’re gonna need a new actor,” Englund says when asked about playing Krueger again. “They’re gonna need a new actor to play Freddy because they’re gonna have to do eight of them.” 

While Englund is not ready to play in 8 new movies, he does state: “I might have one left in me”.

We might be looking at a new Nightmare On Elm Street movie with Robert Englund, but if what Englund says is true, we could be looking at an entire reboot of the franchise for the new generation to enjoy.
