13 Reasons Why have deleted the infamous suicide scene from the series first season This decision is made just months before the third season of the series is rumoured to be released on popular streaming service Netflix.

As of now, the entire scene has been cut from the first season. Now, you’ll see Hannah Baker, played by Katherine Langford, staring in the mirror, looking at her own reflection and then straight to the response of the parents after finding her.

Netflix shared the news in a statement which was as followed:

As we prepare to launch season three later this summer, we’ve been mindful about the ongoing debate around the show. So on the advice of medical experts, including Dr. Christine Moutier, Chief Medical Officer at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’ve decided with creator Brian Yorkey and the producers to edit the scene in which Hannah takes her own life from season one.”
