While She Sleeps’ Debut Album ‘This Is The Six’ Comes To Vinyl

Before their monumental Alexandra Palace show, While She Sleeps will treat fans with the first-ever vinyl release of their debut album This Is The Six.

The vinyl, pressed on 180 gram white vinyl and packaged in a gatefold sleeve, will be released on the 22nd of September 22.

Guitarist Mat Welsh had the following to say about the release:

“Stepping into a ‘real’ studio to record your first full-length album is a feeling I’ll never forget. The writing process was a blur, a mix of excitement and anxiety on how to follow ‘The North Stands For Nothing’ EP, with the first full-length album, released on a major label and on a level we’d never experienced before. We met with Carl Bown (who we are still working with 12 years later) and Colin Richardson to make the record, they had a history of amazing albums.

We threw everything we had into it, with no boundaries. Writing like our lives depended on it. We’ve always been searching to create music that fills our own personal void, the music we’re searching for but can’t find. I feel like we achieved that, it sounded like the five of us and this collection of music has made us who we are. It doesn’t sound like anyone else and it’s an essential part of why we’re still here today. After twelve years it’s really special for us to finally welcome it to the vinyl collection, as an integral part of our history.”

While She Sleeps Announce Tour Dates With Bury Tomorrow

Last week, While She Sleeps announced that Bury Tomorrow will be joining their visit to London for a show at Alexandra Palace, which they announced last year.

However, it doesn’t stop there. The band have announced 4 other shows with Bury Tomorrow.

The group is embarking on a series of consecutive shows in Europe, with performances scheduled for the 27th of September in Paris, France, 28th of September in Brussels, Belgium, 29th of September in Tilburg, the Netherlands and 30th of September in Cologne Germany.

The band released a special edition of their latest album SLEEPS SOCIETY in June, last year:

When announcing Bury Tomorrow as their support, the band said: “We are proud to present part 1 of our support for Alexandra Palace.”

From that, we can conclude that, at least for the London show, more special guests will be announced.
