Evanescence, the iconic rock band known for their haunting melodies and powerful vocals, took the stage late at night during the second day of Rock Am Ring, casting a spell of enchantment over the mesmerized night-owl crowd. With their signature blend of rock and gothic elements, Evanescence delivered a performance that proved why they continue to reign supreme in the alternative rock scene. As the moon rose high above the festival grounds, the band’s ethereal tunes created an otherworldly ambience, leaving the audience in awe.

ROCK AM RING REVIEW: Papa Roach Give Rock ‘n Roll Masterclass

This year’s edition of Rock Am Ring truly is packed with bands who reached iconic status a while ago, and Papa Roach truly belongs in that category. The band has been a cornerstone of rock ‘n roll since the release of Last Resort, but besides having fame from those good ol’ MTV days, Papa Roach have continued to release popular records, which include hit singles like Kill The Noise and Born For Greatness. Papa Roach truly gave a rock ‘n roll masterclass in Germany. From the live mix to the crowd interaction, from the setlist that truly spanned the band’s impressive career to the pyro-technics, Papa Roach are amongst the best of the best.

Papa Roach have a reputation for collaborating with other artists, with artists like Beartooth, FEVER 333 and Hollywood Undead featured on their most recent album Ego Trip. Lucky for us, Hollywood Undead played the same stage mere hours before. Charlie Scene and Funny Man were invited on stage to perform the remixed version of Swerve drawing the crowd into an immediate frenzy.

ROCK AM RING REVIEW: Hollywood Undead Attract Massive Crowd

While the main stage was not in the cards for Hollywood Undead, an absolutely massive crowd had rushed to the Mandora stage in hopes of a good spot to watch the energetic fusion of rap and rock from the almighty Hollywood Undead. With the crowd reaching all the way to the food vendors way in the back, it became apparent that this band should have been playing the main stage.

Hollywood Undead’s big strength when it comes to the live shows is the sheer amount of band members on stage. With a variety of vocalists who each bring a different vocal style to the table, a lot of the times there is some time left for some of the musicians to take on some crowd interaction. Engaging in playful banter and encouraging sing-alongs, Hollywood Undead created a sense of camaraderie and unity with the crowd, while firing songs in a quick pace.

There was even time for a small medley of covers halfway through the set, in which songs from Rammstein, Bon Jovi and Metallica got a little HU make-over. As far as their own discography goes, Hollywood Undead are releasing new songs and new albums at a rapid pace, but the discography was a great mix between old and new. Newer additions like CHAOS and World War Me from the band’s most recent album Hotel Kalifornia got a big reaction, but unsurprisingly the older favourites Bullet, Everywhere I Go and Undead got an unmatched rise out of the audience.
