Netflix & Ryan Murphy Confirm New Season Of ‘Monster’ After Jeffrey Dahmer

Netflix and Ryan Murphy have just announced the exciting news that the next installment in their highly successful Monster anthology series will be titled Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. This announcement comes on the heels of the massive success of the first installment of the series, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which premiered last year and broke records with 1 billion view hours in its first 60 days.

With the success of Dahmer, it was no surprise that Netflix ordered two additional installments of the anthology series from the talented duo Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan.

Dahmer was a hit with both critics and viewers alike, earning critical acclaim and multiple award nominations. The series received both SAG and Golden Globe nominations. Evan Peters, who played the lead role of Dahmer himself, won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series and received a SAG nomination for his portrayal of the infamous serial killer.

The new season of Monster will focus on the notorious Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989. The case captivated the nation at the time, and it remains one of the most infamous crimes in American history.

In addition to the new season, Netflix has also announced that they have exclusive access to Lyle and Erik Menendez for a forthcoming documentary feature.

Overall, the confirmation of a new season of ‘Monster’ is sure to be exciting news for true crime enthusiasts and fans of the anthology series. With the success of Dahmer and the talented team behind the show, expectations are high for what promises to be another must-see installment.

Upcoming Horror Movie ‘Cocaine Bear’ Is Inspired By A True Story

Alright, this headline is a bit deceiving and sounds worse than it is. But let us explain.

The upcoming horror movie Cocaine Bear is coming to theatres later this week and it turns out that it is based on a true story from 1985 about a bear eating cocaine.

However, in contrast to the movie, where the jacked-up bear goes on a rampage, killing many, many people, the real-life cocaine bear died of an overdose. In the autopsy done on the 80-kilo black bear, it was revealed that he had absorbed around 3 to 4 grams into its body, but may have eaten more.

How did the bear get access to the cocaine?

The packs of cocaine had been intentionally dropped in the forest by a flying drug smuggler, Andrew Thornton, an ex-drug cop.

After strapping 35 kilos of cocaine to his waist, the pilot parachuted out with plans to retrieve the remaining dropped packages. However, he fell to his death, and his body, along with the cocaine, two guns, and $4,500 in cash, was discovered in a driveway in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The bear’s lifeless body, along with duffel bags holding approximately 130 kilos of cocaine, was discovered in the Chattahoochee National Forest in Georgia three months after the incident.

Obviously, this story begged for a Hollywood movie. And thus, Elizabeth Banks, took it upon herself to trade in her spot in front of the camera for one behind the camera and directed Cocaine Bear.

During the press tour for the film, Banks was asked about directing Cocaine Shark and expressed interest, but mentioned a few conditions that would need to be met.

The topic of a potential Cocaine Shark came up in the media after the New Zealand police reported discovering 3.2 kilos of cocaine in the Pacific Ocean.

“I would seriously consider anything with a script as good as the script was for Cocaine Bear. It’s got to have just some great elements.”

Check out the trailer for Cocaine Bear below and let us know if you plan on visiting the theatre for it!

‘Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey’ Director Shares Details On ‘Peter Pan’ Horror

The director of Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey, Rhys Frake-Waterfield, has shared some details about his upcoming horror around Peter Pan.

In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed that he’s planning on creating a ‘twisted’, low-budget version of a Childhood Horror Universe.

“The idea is that we’re going to try and imagine they’re all in the same world, so we can have crossovers. People have been messaging saying they really want to see Bambi versus Pooh.”

His Peter Pan project will be called Neverland Nightmare and he had the following details to share:

“All the characters are meant to be really innocent, and when you think of Tinker Bell, she’s this sweet, cute little fairy. But we’re going to make her heavily obese and recovering from drugs.”
