Tyler Joseph Releases Cover Of Switchfoot’s ‘Twenty-Four’ For 20th Anniversary Of ‘The Beautiful Letdown’
Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots has contributed a heartfelt cover of Switchfoot‘s iconic track Twenty-Four. This rendition comes as a part of the 20th-anniversary celebration for Switchfoot’s beloved album The Beautiful Letdown.
Joseph‘s decision to cover Twenty-Four was driven by his deep-seated appreciation for the album and its enduring influence on his own musical journey. Reflecting on his connection with Switchfoot’s music, Joseph said, “I remember listening to that record over and over again, and then I was fortunate enough to have my own musical career that crossed paths with Jon and the guys from the band. When Jon reached out about being a part of the re-release of this album… I thought absolutely… of course.”
The cover holds a special place in Joseph’s heart, as he revealed, “‘Twenty-Four’ is one of my favorite tracks on that album and probably has influenced me in ways that I still haven’t figured out entirely. So it really is an honor to be a part of the release.”

As if this musical exchange wasn’t enough to excite fans, earlier in the week, Switchfoot surprised the music world by sharing a video of Jon Foreman delivering an acoustic version of Twenty One Pilots‘ hit Stressed Out. This heartwarming gesture highlights the camaraderie and mutual respect between the two bands.
