Slipknot Drop HD Music Video For ‘Surfacing’: Your New National Anthem
Slipknot just uploaded an official HD music video for Surfacing.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Slipknot is going all out in 2024. They’re touring the U.S. this summer with Knocked Loose and hitting the UK and Europe at the end of the year. As part of the festivities, they’ve treated Surfacing to a brand-new music video.
Out of nowhere, Slipknot dropped a high-definition version of their performance of Surfacing from Ozzfest. The footage is originally from their 1999 ‘video album’ Welcome To Our Neighborhood, and it looks incredible.
Corey Taylor kicks things off by shouting, “This song is your new national fucking anthem!” and then he and the band – including the late Joey Jordison and Paul Gray, plus former members Craig Jones and Chris Fehn – tear through what has become a fan-favorite track.
They announced the video on social media with a simple message: “Your new national anthem. The official video for ‘Surfacing’ is now available on our @YouTube channel.” Check out the video below and let us know what you think!
