L.S. Dunes Play First Show At Riot Fest
L.S. Dunes kicked off their first-ever show this past weekend at Riot Fest in Chicago, Illinois. The supergroup comprised of members from Thursday, My Chemical Romance, Circa Survive, and Coheed & Cambria performed at the Riot stage last Friday afternoon.
You could immediately tell the Dunes were excited about their first show. Frontman Anthony Green joked that the crowd was the biggest ever to come to one of their sets. Even though the band has one song currently out– Permanent Rebellion– they still managed to draw out a pretty impressive-sized crowd for their inaugural show.
The band was in high spirits. Green kept jumping into the crown during the Dunes’ half-hour set. His other bandmates (Frank Iero, Travis Stever, Tucker Rule, and Tim Payne) were all smiles as they moved excitedly around the stage. Anthony’s charisma and experience as frontman from Circa Survive really came in handy– he gave off great energy and the crowd gave it right back; no small feat for a band that only has one song out.
Besides Permanent Rebellion, L.S. Dunes performed new songs off their upcoming album, Past Lives, such as 2022, Bombsquad, and Like Forever just to name a few. All of their songs give off an early 2000’s sound that is familiar yet uniquely their own.
L.S. Dunes have a headlining tour that starts up in November and their debut album, Past Lives, will be released on November 11th.
