‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ Season Two Is Very Likely To Happen
The first season was released in October, and has already raked in millions of fans on a global scale. While the storyline has been played out, fans have been wondering if a second season could be happening, and it appears that the second season of the series will happen.
In a recent interview, Carla Gugino (who plays Olivia Crain in the first season) shared that director Mike Flanagan is looking into a possible second season. Here’s what she shared with The Hollywood Reporter:
“Mike Flanagan said he would be interested in the notion of an anthology, where some actors come back to play different characters.
“I think he feels like he has told the complete story of the Crain family. But if I was invited and I was able to, I would really love to, just because I do love to collaborate with him.”
While we all agree that the Crain family’s story has been told, we are very interested to see a new story unfold with this incredible cast and team behind the immensily successful first season.
Earlier on, Michiel Huisman (who plays Steven Crain in the first season), shared something similar about the possibility of a second season. Here’s what he shared in an interview, according to JOE.
”I think that one of the crazy things about Mike is that he is an infinite well of ideas and stories. I don’t think he ever sleeps. There are possibilities – if the show is a hit – to create a second season and still be in this world of Hill House.
“But I could also totally see [Flanagan] pitch an idea where we just do a spin-off. Film an anthology series and take it in a completely different direction. We have to wait and see.
“That’s one of the cool things about Netflix, they’re open to anything.”
