Panic! At The Disco
Panic at the Disco was formed back in 2004 with members Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson. Their debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, was definitely an album that has inspired pop and emo music to this day. It includes the hit single I Write Sins not Tragedies, and really helped the band to get their start. It reached number 13 on Billboard 200 and has sold more than 2.2 million copies.
Three years later, they released their second album Pretty Odd. At this point, Brent had been kicked out and replaced. Despite this, the album still did well, especially with the hit Nine In the Afternoon. The album itself reached number 2 on the charts. In 2011, they released their third album Vices and Virtues, which peaked at number 7 in the US.
In 2013, they released the fourth album Too Weird To Live, To Rare To Die, which included the platinum certified single Miss Jackson. The band’s fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor was released in 2016 and became their first number 1 album in the US. In 2018, Brendon Urie released Pray for the Wicked, which debuted at number one in the US. He also just released a new album Viva Las Vengeance on August 19th. 2022.
The band went through many changes, As I mentioned, by their second album Brent had been replaced with Jon Walker. Then in 2009, it was announced that both Ryan Ross and Jon were leaving the band. Drummer Spencer was with the band up until 2015. SInce then, Brendon has been on his own, with some help from musicians when on tour. Although he is the only original member left, he did pay to keep the name Panic at the Disco.
