CONCERT REVIEW: Jimmy Eat World Made Paradiso A Dancing Hall
On Monday, 11th November, Jimmy Eat World put on an amazing performance in Paradiso. The band, known for hits such as The Middle and Sweetness came back to the Netherlands after performing there in 2022. They put up a great setlist and bring amazing energy on stage, right from the start of the concert.
They opened with one of their more famous songs, Pain, taken off of their Futures album, followed by another track from that record.
The setlist consisted of songs from their earlier albums Clarity and Bleed American, but also some songs from their latest record called Surviving. Throughout the show, they played some of the fans’ favorite songs, such as The Middle and Bleed American.
Halfway through the concert, frontman Jim Adkins told the crowd that this was the first country Jimmy Eat World ever played in Europe, and he told the crowd that he was happy to be back and play songs for everyone in the amazing venue.
Jimmy decided to play some acoustic songs; they played the songs Your House and Hear You Me. This gave the crowd some time to breathe and let out some tears before going back into the rock sound they are known for.
We ended the show with the songs A Praise Chorus and The Middle before Jimmy walked off stage for the first time. The crowd was not done with the concert yet and chanted, “We want more.” in the hope Jimmy would come back for an encore.
And they did; they wanted the crowd to dance one last time before calling it a night. The songs they played were Night Drive and The World Love You. What a perfect song to end the night and say goodbye to the crowd before leaving Amsterdam on their way to the United Kingdom for the rest of the tour.
