LIVE REVIEW: Dropkick Murphys Turn Ziggo Dome Into Beer-Soaked Extravaganza
Dropkick Murphys returned to The Netherlands, as they have done quite a few times in the last couple of years, for their biggest Dutch show to date. With two sold-out shows in the AFAS Live last year, it was time for an upgrade – this upgrade was found in Amsterdam’s biggest ‘only music’ venue: Ziggo Dome.
With an impressive capacity of 17.000 concertgo-ers and an infrastructure purely designed to give the attendees the best possible musical experience, Dropkick Murphys took their extensive discography chock-full of hits as well as their two brand new singles ‘Smash Shit Up’ and ‘The Bonny’ to an ecstatic Amsterdam crowd.
Dropkick Murphys shows are well-known for their party feel and this was immediately confirmed when the band hit the first notes. Many fans in the pit threw their plastic cups filled with beer to the sky, which made for the quite the few from the back.
The band showcased their songs in a rapid fashion in a what turned in to be quite the epic night and you can catch a glimpse of what went down in the photo gallery below. All photos by Eva van den Bosch!
