LIVE REVIEW: Amon Amarth Bring The Heat To Amsterdam With Overwhelming Pyro Show
Amon Amarth returned to The Netherlands again for a show surrounding the band’s most recent album ‘Berserker’, which the band released earlier this year.
For their current European shows, Amon Amarth are being joined by the popular Arch Enemy, fronted by frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz who’s known for her destructive vocals.
After an destructive performance on the mainstage of Rock Am Ring in the summer, we had our sights set on their Amsterdam performance – as we knew what was to come: A great theatrical show involving viking metal, flying beer cups and a lot of fire.
Amon Amarth stand tall and unassailable, even after having 25 years under their wing and their performance in front of a packed AFAS LIVE proved it. Their charisma, showmanship and explosive performance made for an unforgettable evening.
It goes without saying that with 11 studio albums, Amon Amarth have their fair share of hits with the fans, which include but are not limited to ‘Twilight of the Thunder God’ and ‘The Pursuit of Vikings’.
Luckily, the band’s new album has also spawned a hit single or two such as ‘Crack The Sky’ and ‘Shield Wall’.
