CONCERT REVIEW: Chase Atlantic Are On The Fast Track To Stardom

After a few years of absence, Chase Atlantic returned to Europe for the first time since the band’s popularity exploded. As a result, the band sold out their entire tour within hours and lucky for us, they did not skip The Netherlands. In the rather intimate venue of TivoliVredenburg, Chase Atlantic impressed and cemented their position as a rising star in the music industry. With 2,000 lucky fans, Chase Atlantic could very possibly have played their last-ever club show on Dutch soil, as their rapid rise to stardom suggests that they may soon be headlining much larger venues, such as the RTM Stage in Rotterdam or Amsterdam’s AFAS Live.

Chase Atlantic‘s stage presence was magnetic. The band members moved seamlessly between their instruments, effortlessly transitioning from one hit to the next. They performed tracks from their impressive discography, including fan favourites like Swim, Friends, and BEAUTY IN DEATH, each song met with an ear-deafening response from the crowd. The synergy between the band and their fans was undeniable and very rarely matched, creating a symbiotic relationship that fueled the entire show.

The contrast between the band’s show back in 2018 when they opened for Sleeping With Sirens and the show we just witnessed was immense in one aspect – the visuals and the show aspect of the performance, which makes sense given this is their headliner tour. On the other hand, the intensity between the band and their fans was the same as it was back in 2018. I remember being amazed by the response of the audience when Chase Atlantic took the stage as the opening act for Sleeping With Sirens. Ear-deafening screaming whenever a new song got announced, or when either of the 3 members chatted with the audience in between songs, the passion and energy from the crowd was palpable.

Musically, the band did rely a tad on the backing tracks, especially vocally, partly because the microphone level of frontman Mitchel Cave seemed a tad low throughout the performance. However, this minor technical issue did not detract from the overall quality of the show.

Chase Atlantic‘s ability to captivate their audience through their live performances is a testament to their rising stardom in the music industry, and we are honoured to have witnessed the greatness that went down this evening.

Miraculously, the man survived the fall from the 5th floor and was able to call medical assistance himself for his injuries. Check out the news segment from 7NEWS Adelaide below to get the full story.
