Twenty One Pilots’ The Icy Tour Preview And What to Expect
The Skeleton Clique has had a great few years. After the release of their 5th (or 6th, if you count Regional At Best) studio album Scaled and Icy in 2021, the Grammy-award-winning, record-setting duo twenty one pilots announced their revolutionary Takeover Tour, which featured four shows of increasing venue capacity in one city, changing cities every week. After a long summer festival tour, Tyler and Josh are back in North America with their latest arena escapade: the Icy Tour.
The Icy Tour’s premiere was in St. Paul, Minnesota, on August 18th, and the Clique was treated to a brand-new setlist that maintained the aesthetic of the era, while ushering in some new live moments. Spoiler time: songs from their self-titled album and their unreleased sophomore project Regional At Best both made their way onto the stage, which is a rarity in the world of post-Blurryface twenty one pilots. My Blood, a staple of the band’s 2018 Bandito Tour, made it’s return to the stage. Of course, as they always do, the duo concluded the set with Trees, a song that is always a tour-de-force of the Skeleton Clique’s passion for twenty one pilots‘ music.
If you want to catch all these songs and see what else is new on the Icy Tour, catch it in your city this fall. See dates here: https://www.twentyonepilots.com/tour
