Gerard Way Is Creating Volume 4 Of The Umbrella Academy
The New York Times bestseller comic, The Umbrella Academy, was created from the mind of former My Chemical Romance’s frontman, Gerard Way, and illustrated by Eisner-award winner Gabriel Ba. Publisher, Dark Horse Comics, describes it as, "An inexplicable worldwide event, forty-three extraordinary children were spontaneously born by women who’d previously shown no signs of pregnancy.
Millionaire inventor Reginald Hargreeves adopted seven of the children; when asked why, his only explanation was, "To save the world."
The popular comic was also adapted into a Netflix series which, "Has been viewed by more than 45 million member households," as stated by The Hollywood Reporter.
However, Way has more to unveil in The Umbrella Academy series. The most recent book, The Umbrella Academy Volume 3: Hotel Oblivion, already released but volume 4 is in the works. Way explains, “I am very happy with the results and hope you enjoy it if you plan on checking it out. Coincidentally, I just started Volume 4, so hopefully, it won’t be too long before a new issue hits the stands, seeing as how this volume ends on a major cliffhanger."
It will be exciting to see where the plot is headed and what imaginative story details are to come.
