Billie Eilish Joins Green Day On Stage For Surprise Duet At FireAid Concert
Green Day gave fans a huge surprise at the FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles when they invited Billie Eilish on stage for a special duet. The event, held at the Kia Forum, raised money to help people affected by recent wildfires in California.
The band was performing Last Night on Earth, a song from their 2009 album 21st Century Breakdown, when Billie Eilish walked onto the stage. She and lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong sang together, creating a powerful and emotional moment. The lyrics, “If I lose everything in the fire, I’m sending all my love to you,” felt especially meaningful given the cause of the concert.
After the song, Armstrong spoke to the crowd, saying, “Los Angeles, we are still alive. This is California and we’re all in this together.” Green Day then played Still Breathing and finished their set with their classic hit When I Come Around.
FireAid featured many famous artists, including Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sting, and Stevie Nicks. All the performers came together to support wildfire relief efforts. The money raised will help people right away and also fund projects to prevent future wildfires.
